Hamilton Elementary:
Jennifer Warren leads our ongoing tutoring project with young urban students at Hamilton Elementary School in downtown Columbus.
Mortar Board members partner with teachers to tutor grades 1-5 during and after the school day. This is our biggest and most enduring service project.
Mortar Board's National Project, "Reading Is Leading," encourages all chapters to advocate literacy in their communities. The 2004 Mortar Board class received Project Excellence Awards for their work with Hamilton!
During the winter holidays, we also Adopt A Family through Hamilton Elementary.
Past Hamilton Elementary Chairs include Amanda Marquardt (2007) and Kimberly Basinger (2006).
